WESMAN COMPACT RECLAMATION SYSTEMS have been designed for applications where space is an issue. The units are designed to be shipped on a common steel framework to minimize installation time, and are substantially reinforced to withstand the harsh duty associated with sand reclamation.
The system utilizes primary screens constructed from heavy duty perforated steel plate (6 mm aperture) and secondary screens of stainless steel wedge wire (1.5mm aperture), followed by an elevated screen of high tensile stainless steel interwoven mesh. Liner plates are fitted to high wear areas of the body shell.
A removable clean out door is situated at the rear of the unit to allow easy removal of large metallics and non-degradable material. Periodic removal is required to maintain throughput and reduce wear. Fine metallics and sand agglomerates are discharged continuously via the tertiary screen situated in the elevator outlet. The whole unit is supported by a series of compression springs so that correct vibration of the unit is maintained.
Classification is achieved by using a fluid bed powered by a high pressure single stage fan. Where cooling is required, an integral heat exchanger is incorporated in the fluid bed with the appropriate water cooling system. An electrical control panel allows sequential starting of all the components and automatic cleaning of dust extraction equipment.
A freestanding three-sided environmental dust hood is supplied with the compact vibratory attrition unit for effective collection of fume and dust generated by the integral shakeout deck. The dust hood should be connected to a dust extraction plant. A crane access slot can be incorporated into the dust hood roof to allow loading or removal of larger castings.
