Wesman is pleased to announce that jointly with a USA based software developer it has developed an off-line software to manage optimum heating strategy for Walking Beam, Pusher, Rotary Hearth Furnaces used in Steel Reheating and Forging Applications.
Use of this easy to use powerful 'intelligent' tool will save the end user enormous energy costs by giving the optimum setpoint for the furnace zones. The use of the software, with a a payback period of only a few months, will also improve the overall thermal and metallurgical performance of the continuous furnace processing any size, shape or grade in normal operation as well as during unforeseen delays or interruptions that occur in continuous mill operations in steel plants. Wesman's completely indigenously designed largest ever built in India Rotary Hearth Furnace successfully commissioned in September 2010 at United Seamless Tubes and Pipes Ltd in Hyderabad. This is a 110 MTPH furnace for heating billets for a seamless tube plant with a connected load of 52 Million Kcal/hour with 72 Wesman Gas burners in 8 control zones having an outer hearth diameter of 42 meters.

ANKIT METAL & POWER - KOLKATA have ordered in April 2011 with 9 month completion time an Oil Fired Walking Hearth type Billet Reheating Furnace with capacity of 40 MTPH FOR 1.8 MTPA Stainless Steel Wire Rod Mill at Bankura, West Bengal that includes design, engineering, supply. erection and commissioning. The charge material will be stainless steel, ball bearing steel, cutting steel, high carbon steel and spring steel. The furnace is fully automatic with PLC-PC based control system.
TOYO SPRINGS - SONIPAT have placed a repeat order in April 2011 with a 6 month delivery for a Gas Fired Walking Beam type Hardening & Conveyorised Tempering Furnaces for leaf springs. The Walking Beam Hardening furnace has an output of 7500 kg/hr has a maximum temperature of 1000 deg C. The Conveyorised Tempering Furnace with chain link stainless steel mesh conveyor has an operating temperature of 600 deg C. Both the furnaces are automatically controlled by a PLC-PC based control system.
